Kishore Da Made My Day

Amidst these loud, fast and new 'Bollywood' numbers of today, we seldom get time to revert back to the music of old times. The golden music which contained in-depth meaning and true emotions. It was hilarious, it was jolly, it was simple, it was effusion, it was just-the-way-it-is type of music which still reigns in some part of our hearts and thoughts. This post is just to touch that small place in your heart and disconnect your soul from present, momentarily.

Kishore Da, one name in the history of Indian music and cinema that can never be forgotten. Such a versatile person, he revolutionized the music industry and was an inspiration to all. (Aaj bhi unke songs sunkar rongte khade ho jate hain, ख़ुशी और उल्लास से ). Below are some of them which I heard today from my gigantic collection. Listening to these songs, I remember my childhood when I had this 'Philips powerhouse' radio in which we used to listen to "Rainbow FM". Sound was much soothing then, maybe it was the magic of music or maybe it was the clear and empty sky for lucid reception.
